Law school presently contains institutions of Teaching and research section of Civil Law and Commercial Law, Teaching and research section of Economic Law, Teaching and research section of the International Law, Teaching and research section of Procedural Law, Teaching and research section of the Theoretical Law and Criminal Law,, School office, Education office, Student office, and Master of law education center. Law School established Beijing Enterprises the Rule of Law and Development Research Institute, and the Commercial Law Research Center of Beijing Technology and Business University (btbu). Law school/School of the Marxism has 67 teaching and administrative staffs, more than 588 undergraduates, 277 graduate students.

Law subject has been established for 27 years. The original Beijing Business School recruited college students since 1986, and established Economic law Subject and recruit undergraduate students major in Economic Law since 1987. Department of Economic Law of Beijing Business School changed its name to the Department of Law, Beijing business school in 1993. Law School recruited undergraduate students who major in Business law from 1993 and recruited students major in Commercial law and Economic law from 1993 to 1999. The Law School established The Commercial Law Institute of Beijing Technology and Business University in 1994, and Obtained both master degrees award authority of Civil and Commercial Law in 1994 and Economic Law in 1995. Since the Beijing Technology and Business University was founded in June 1999, the Department of Law in Beijing Technology and Business University was established on the basis of the original Law School of the Beijing Business School, and changed its name to Beijing Technology and Business University Law School in 2002. Civil and Commercial Law have been approved for Beijing key construction subject, undergraduate Law subject has been approved for Beijing brand construction subject in 2006, undergraduate Law subject has been approved for Beijing characteristic construction subject in 2008, and Civil and Commercial Law teaching team has been awarded the Beijing outstanding teaching team. Law School obtained the award authority of master degree in Law in 2009, and obtained the award authority of master degree in Law First-level subject in 2010.

In addition, Law School formed distinctive characteristics in Marketization of contract theory, Commercial law basic theory, System of contract effectiveness, Negotiable instruments law system, Bank legal system, legal system of tax revenue, Enterprise legal system, The legal system of international trade and investment, The legal system of circulation of commodities, and The system of economic criminal law.
