Western Economics Program started in 2001, led by nationwide famous economist Professor Liang Xiaoming, who was the chairman of Department of Economics at that time. This program aims to introduce many studies of western economics into China and make a contribution to the theoretical study and knowledge spreading of western economics. There is a group of teachers of economics with high quality in 3 research directions respectively based on macroscopic perspective, middle-level view and microscopic study: research on macroeconomics, research on industry development and regulation, and research on social responsibility of enterprises.
