Achievements made by advertising specialty in recent years:

 

1. The specialty of advertising is the Brand Construction Specialty of Beijing and Key Building Specialty of BTBU. It has the only Beijing-based demonstration campus  innovation practice base in the liberal arts program of BTBU—“Creative Communication Campus Innovation Practice Base”.

2. After years of exploration, the advertising major has formed a 4+3+3 education and teaching model, namely four major curriculum modules, a three-dimensional practical teaching system, and three kinds of core competence training. In 2012, the achievement won the first prize of the education and teaching achievements of BTBU.

3. The team of advertising professional teachers has achieved fruitful teaching and research results. In recent years, it has been approved more than 20 scientific research projects at the national, provincial and ministerial level, and more than 10 projects from enterprises and institutions. More than 20 awards have been got for teaching above the school level. Professional teachers have published more than 100 academic papers in the name of first author.

4. The students in advertising have actively participated in major advertising competitions at home and abroad. Accumulated more than 1,000 participants took part in the competitions, and have won 12 national gold medals, 17 silver medals and 26 bronze medals.

 

 

 

in recent years, teachers have published 10 monographs and more than 60 articles, and won 4 awards for success in education and teaching from Beijing University of Commerce and Industry. 5 projects for education and teaching reform and 11 projects for innovation and entrepreneurship of college students got approved. Arrival account funds of teachers’ projects in the past three years are more than 1.5 million. Students won 70 provincial and ministerial awards and 16 national awards by participating in the professional competition.

 

 

Chinese Language & Literature Department has a good tradition of academic research. 100 papers and 10 kinds of textbooks have been published, 10 state-level and provincial and school-level government sponsored research projects and 30 enterprise sponsored research projects have been set up. Among published papers, 60 were accepted by core journals and 20 by CSSCI source journals. As for the textbooks, some of them are of provincial or school-level while some are in the series of Confronting 21 Century Textbook.

 

 

Also,five teachers were awarded first or second prize in teaching competition of school-level, ranking the first in the university. It is unprecedented that one teacher won second prize in Beijing Young Teachers Basic Teaching Skill Competition. Two teachers, respectively, won the first and second prize in the school-level teaching skill competition for young teachers. Three teachers were separately awarded second prize for excellent teaching effect. Three teachers won second and third prize for excellent performance in their research field. It is worth noting that two teachers won the Excellence Award in the Innovation-Cup Multimedia Courseware Design and Micro-course Competition among universities owned by the municipal government of Beijing.
