The Laboratory for Functional Component Discovery and Healthy Food Development is a research team rooted in food science, dedicated to leveraging technology to advance public nutrition and implement the Healthy China initiative.

The team focuses mainly on two things. First, mining — that is, uncovering natural, valuable treasures from ordinary food ingredients and developing them into active, functional ingredients. This is the core process, a bit like turning stone into gold — extracting gold from ordinary ore.

Compared to the competing product from France's Andrea company, this product has higher activity. Their product costs about 1,000 RMB per kilogram, while BTBU's laboratory can control cost at around 100 RMB per kilogram— offering much better value for money.
