On the morning of February 19, Zhang Wenqiong, Deputy Director of the Beijing Science and Technology Talent Development Center, and her entourage visited BTBU for exchanges and research. Mao Xinshu, Vice President of BTBU, met with Zhang Wenqiong and her entourage at the Fucheng Road Campus.

On behalf of BTBU, Mao Xinshu extended a warm welcome to Deputy Director Zhang Wenqiong and her entourage and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the center for the long-term support for BTBU. He introduced the history of running a school, talent cultivation, discipline-related scientific research, and international exchanges of BTBU. He said that BTBU attaches great importance to the introduction of high-level foreign talents and the exchange of oversea young talents. In the future, he hopes that with the guidance and support of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Science and Technology Talent Development Center, breakthroughs can be made in areas such as foreign expert-attracting bases, the introduction of high-level foreign talents, and international youth talent exchanges, so as to continuously improve the construction of the BTBU’s internationalized teaching staff and provide intellectual support for serving the “Double First-Class” construction of BTBU and the high-quality development of the capital.

Zhang Wenqiong highly affirmed BTBU’s international exchanges and work related to foreign experts. She introduced the main functions of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Zhongguancun Management Committee, and the Beijing Science and Technology Talent Development Center. She pointed out that BTBU has obvious disciplinary characteristics and advantages, as well as a good foundation for overseas talent introduction. BTBU should give full play to its professional characteristics and advantages, combine the needs of the development of key industries in Beijing, rely on relevant platform programs, broaden the channels for overseas talent introduction, expand the scale of foreign expert-attracting, and timely summarize the achievements of related programs, so as to promote the continuous development of the foreign expert-attracting work.

Subsequently, the two sides held exchanges and discussions on overseas talent long and short-term programs, international youth programs in China, and expert-attracting base programs.
