Delegation from Almaty Technological University Visits BTBU

On June 5, 2025, a delegation from Almaty Technological University (ATU), led by Acting President Nurakhmetov Baurzhan Kumargalievich, visited Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU). Mao Xinshu, Vice President of BTBU, met with the delegation at Fucheng Road Campus.

Vice President Mao extended a warm welcome and reviewed cooperative work since the partnership began in December 2024. He proposed building a project cooperation platform to promote faculty and student exchanges, doctoral collaborations, and international research cooperation. He suggested starting with joint initiatives in food science and gradually expanding cooperation to create a model of educational exchange under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Mr. Nurakhmetov thanked Vice President Mao for the reception and emphasized ATU’s strong interest in cooperation with BTBU. He proposed establishing a China–Kazakhstan Joint Laboratory in food science as a starting point, expanding multidisciplinary project collaboration, and promoting joint Ph.D supervision and substantive academic exchanges to build a solid foundation for long-term cooperation.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the laboratories and facilities of the School of Food and Health.
