The Delegation of University College Cork (UCC) visited BTBU on 21 October, 2019. Prof. Sun Baoguo, president of BTBU met the delegation on Fucheng Campus. Prof. Xie Zhihua hosted the meeting. The two sides exchanged opinions on cooperation in fields of Food and Computer Science.

Prof. Sun Baoguo, President of BTBU, presented welcome to the visit of delegation. He said UCC had a long history and good international reputation, BTBU would appreciate the partnership with UCC. Moreover, he presented the operation orientation of BTBU，features and globalization strategy of BTBU. He expected that BTBU and UCC would strengthen cooperative relationships in the future.

John O'Halloran, Deputy President of UCC, appreciated the hospitality of Prof. Sun Baoguo. He said that BTBU was the first university that had established cooperative partnership with UCC in China. Furthermore, he introduced strategic planning of UCC for next 5 years, and emphasized that UCC would be willing to build up connection across disciplines and sustainable development. He believed that this visit would promote cooperation and understanding between the two sides.

Prof. Xie Zhihua expressed his expectations to extend in-depth cooperation between two universities by holding international meeting together or by starting up university alliance.
