2016 BTBU Mid-Autumn Festival Party for International Students

                                          

                                          

                                          

                                          

On September 14, 2016 BTBU Mid-Autumn Festival Party for International Students was held on Fucheng campus. More than 100 overseas students from 54 countries and regions got together to taste moon cakes, watch Mid-Autumn festival movie, learn the origin and customs of Mid-Autumn Festival. Vice-President Li Chaoxian, deans and teachers from BTBU schools and departments participated the activity.
 
Vice-President Li Chaoxian addressed the festival party. On behalf of BTBU, he extended the warmest welcome and festival greetings to international students. He said that BTBU had made great progress in the development of internationalization with the joint efforts in the recent years. More and more international students chose to study at BTBU, which had greatly helped to promote BTBU international development. He hoped that international students could learn more about Chinese culture and BTBU culture, and that they could work hard and communicate more with Chinese students and enjoy their campus life at BTBU.
 
Niya, from Turkmenistan, majoring in MIB program of BTBU School of Economics, delivered a speech as representative of the current students. She reviewed her study experiences at BTBU and encouraged new students to get used to the new environment and study hard. The freshman from France, Pegaz Laurent, from MIB program of BTBU School of Economics, expressed his expectations to the future life in BTBU and in China.
 
Afterwards, representatives of international students and BTBU Art Group gave wonderful performances of traditional songs and dances for students and teachers. They shared fruits and moon cakes together. Harry Regts, from Netherland, said, “It’s my first time to taste moon cakes and it’s yummy.”
 
2016 BTBU Mid-Autumn Festival Party provided international students a good opportunity to experience and know more about Chinese Culture, and communicate with local Chinese students.
