Ciarán Cannon T.D, Irish Minister of Education and Technology, visited BTBU. President Tan Xiangyong and vice president Li Chaoxian received the delegation on March, 14 in Fucheng Road Campus. The conference was hosted by vice president Li Chaoxian.
Li expressed warm welcome to the delegation and hoped that the cooperation with Irish colleges and universities would strengthen the contacts and cooperation over education and scientific research, improving BTBU international academic standards. Ciarán Cannon appreciated President Tan’s gracious reception. He said that cooperation and exchanges between UCC and BTBU enhanced friendly relationship in every aspect, particularly in the area of higher education.
President Murphy of UCC addressed the meeting on behalf of the Irish colleges and universities on cooperation programs.
Luo Chaoneng, director of International Office in BTBU and Louis Tobin, director in International Office of UCC introduced the fruitful achievements of the exchange programs between BTBU and UCC.
