BTBU-UCC Joint Undergraduate Program on Food Science and Engineering Approved by Ministry of Education, China

The Ministry of Education of China announced the approvalof the Sino-foreign joint education programs of the first half of 2014. The “Undergraduate Education Program of Food Science and Engineering (International)” jointly hosted by Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU) and University College Cork (UCC) of Ireland was formally approved (Certificate No.: MOE11IE2A20141599N).

The pattern of the Joint Cooperation Education Program on Food Science and Engineering is “4+0”. The program will be launched from 2015, it enrolls 40 students every year as planned which will be admitted in the National Higher Education Enrollment Plan. BTBU and UCC will build an international and professional teaching and administration group, which design, organize and implement the system of the internationalized teaching, administration and quality assurance for the joint education program. All teaching and evaluations in the program are in English.

After completing the four-year studysuccessfully and satisfied the standards of graduation and awarding the degrees from BTBU and UCC, students will be awarded BTBU undergraduate diploma and bachelor's degree as well as UCC bachelor's degree. The program will play the respective advantages from BTBU and UCC, integrate the teaching resources rationally, establishthe unified internationalized program management system, which fully embodies the characteristics of international talent cultivation.
