The delegation of Bahria University (BU) of 3 persons led by Professor Tanveer Faiz, Rector of BU, visited BTBU on August 26, 2016. BTBU President Sun Baoguo met the delegation on Fucheng Campus. BTBU Vice-president Li Chaoxian hosted the meeting.
President Sun expressed his warm welcome to the delegation and gave the brief introduction of BTBU. He said that Pakistan and China have long and close friendship, and Pakistan is our most important partner. The cooperation between BTBU and BU got the support from the government of both sides. He expected that the two universities could develop close partnership in different areas in the future.
Mr. Tanveer Faiz, Rector of BU, gave the general information of Bahria University and he hoped that BTBU and BU could explore more opportunities for the cooperation between teachers and students from both universities in the related areas and promote the communication between the two universities.
Mr. Navid Hassan Khan, Education Attache of Embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, gave a brief description of higher education in Pakistan. He said that more and more Pakistan students choose to study in China nowadays, and he expressed his best wishes to the cooperation between the two universities.
Afterwards, both sides had discussions on the programs of student exchange, staff visiting and scientific research between two universities, and reached a consensus to hold China and Pakistan Economic Forum in the future.
After the discussion, BTBU President Sun Baoguo and BU Rector Tanveer Faiz signed Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities.
After the meeting, the delegation visited BTBU Fucheng Campus.
Mr. Khawajashahid Saeed, the Registrar of BU, Mr. Demiral Ikram, Asst. Director Foreign Collaboration Programmes, Ms.Liu Ying, Director of BTBU International Office, Ms. He Dongmeng, Deputy Director of BTBU International Office attended the meeting.
