On March22th is an unusual day for BTBU students. Mellow sunshine shed down to the campus of BTBU and colorful beams decorated the whole university to be more elegant.
Distinctly, everyone's focus of the day must be attached to the Students Activity Centre, which seems to be quite different from the usual days. The glaring spotlight, varieties of national flags and people in different colors you may be curious about what makes the Student Activity Centre so attractive today? The answer is: the "Embrace the Different Cultures, Enlighten Global Visions" Sino-foreign Students Cross-cultural Communication Activity, sponsored by the International Office and undertaken by the branch of school of Foreign Languages, is being held here! Eager to see how the exchange students will perform?
At14:00, the activity began. Guo Mingxin, BTBU second-year graduate student, Sam, a handsome gentleman from Tanzania took the charge of the hosts of the day. The combination of Chinese beauty and foreign brother, the Chinese traditional cheongsam and foreign suit, added more flavor of international norm to the whole activity.
Distinguished guests attended the activity and they were: Qiu Xiaoping, the Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection ，BTBU; Luo Chaoneng, Secretary of the party general branch of school of Foreign Languages, BTBU; Liu Ying, Deputy Director of the International Office, BTBU; Miao Tianshun, Vice Dean of the school of Foreign Languages, BTBU; Ren Jinjing, Vice Secretary of the party general branch of school of Foreign Languages, BTBU.
Mr. Qiu Xiaoping, the Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection of BTBU, gave a speech for the activity of today. He expressed his gratitude for being invited to attend the activity. When talking about his experience as an exchange student in UK and Germany, he greatly supported the idea of holding such kind of activities for further communication. He also said that, on our way to building BTBU the international top universities, reinforcing international communication is a fairly crucial part in our internationalization strategy. In the end, Mr. Qiu wished us an afternoon with joy and pleasure.
The activity, by students' cooperating to perform and judges' scoring them, showed the harmonious studying life among Chinese and foreign students to the international friends. Sparkles were made during the cultural communications and we enjoyed ourselves very much.
【TOP】They presented us with the songful "Beijing Welcomes You" and Chinese-style dance. The performance showed the generosity of the capital in a full play. The dance remarkably showed our harmonious relationship between the Chinese and foreign students in BTBU.
【Just For Fun】 No doubt they are handsome and gorgeous but not just handsome and gorgeous. Their fantastic talent boomed the whole room. With trendy songs and powerful dance they even finally grabbed all the guests off the chair and everybody danced together. All people present shared the same love in music and dance. They owned the crowd and won the most popularity.
【ChickMix+2】Through the role plays about dining customs, love at first sight and after-school life, they showed the diversity of customs in different countries. They endeavored to reach the harmony despite divergence; they end the performance in a pleasant song "Good Time”, dancing with the schoolmates and making the ambience warm and comfortable.
【Fantastic Babiessss】Students from different countries danced to energetic music and gave brief introductions about their mother countries. When we thought it had come to an end, a man in white gown and headband brought our attention back. The exotic song DiliDil Pakistan made us pleasant and cute babies also gave us a big surprise. Afterwards, “Fairy Tale" sung by the students also left us deep impression.
