In order to enrich the experience of International students in BTBU and help those to have a better understanding of Chinese Culture, recently International Office and the Volunteer Association of International Cooperation and Exchange held a Chinese Cultural Experience Classes –Calligraphy class for International students. The lecture was given by BTBU’s alumni Wang Duo, and 13 international students and 7 volunteers attended the lecture.

Mr. Wang’s lecture was very vividly. He started from Chinese ideograph, and introduced the evolution of Chinese fonts. He also introduced China's oldest film-Shadow Play to students with simple movements. Then he displayed the four treasures of the study, brush, ink, paper and ink stone and the ancient outstanding Calligraphers' works. He showed the correct way to hold a brush and writing method. From the word "HE" he guided everyone to write correctly. The International students enjoyed writing Chinese characters and finally Mr. Wang gave each student a calligraphy works with good symbol as gifts.

These colorful cultural activities won high praise from students. Chinese Cultural Experience Classes will continue next semester.
